Retail
Distribution Network
When
customers needed to communicate faster than regular mail,
PT&T pioneered in setting up and operating Public Calling
Offices in key cities and towns offering at the onset, telegram
services. Throughout the years, PT&T has developed the largest
and widest Retail Distribution Network, with 151 branches
and 222 outlets nationwide todate. As technology advanced
so did PT&T increase the number of services made available
to its Retail Distribution Network customers through product
innovations such as "Socialgram", "Singinggram", "Regalogram",
"Faxgram", Telegraphic Money Order and "Vodex". These made
possible real-time voice calls and one day delivery of messages
to any point nationwide. Even today, PT&T continues to maintain
its market leadership position in the area of telecommunications
retail distribution.
To
complement its Telephony project, PT&T launched in 1997 its
own coin and pre-paid card Payphone network to cater to the
calling needs of the public in strategic locations such as
hospitals, schools, malls and other heavy people-traffic areas.
PT&T also launched its Prepaid PIN-based "Access Card" and
"Pre-Paid Chip-Based Access Card Plus(for use in PT&T
payphones)" to make available to a larger customer base
secure and convenient long distance calling services.
